79. Complete the 5,000 Question Survey. (Part One)

Oh man, I totally underestimated how many 5,000 questions is. Jeez, it's a lot. This is definitely going to have to be done in several components.



Part one


1. Who are you? 
Ashley Marie Southland

2. What are the 3 most important things everyone should know about you? 
I am a really terrible driver. I’m too skinny, but I do eat! I am a lover of literature, especially classic literature.


3. When you aren't filling out 5,000 question surveys like this one what are you doing? 
Working working working. Watching my dog poop. Babysitting. Spending quality time with my boyfriend, Mr. Netflix.

4. List your classes in school from the ones you like the most to the ones you like the least (or if you are out of school, think of the classes you did like and didn't like at the time). 
English was always my favorite subject. Math was always my least favorite. 

5. What is your biggest goal for this year? 
Self-awareness.

6. Where do you want to be in 5 years? 
Married with kids. :)

7. What stage of life are you in right now?
A transitional one. I’m just getting used to this grown-up world. I’m trying to find myself and figure out what it is I really want to do with my life.

8. Are you more child-like or childish? 
Child-like.

9. What is the last thing you said out loud? 
“Ok”. <---- That’s what I always say to my boss.

10. What song comes closest to how you feel about your life right now? 
Michael Buble “Haven’t Met You Yet”. I only hear it like 27 thousand times a day and it can get pretty annoying, but it’s true.

11. Have you ever taken martial arts classes? 
I went to a summer camp-type thing while my parents were at work. I think I was about 8 years old. I went to one class and it was awful. I have no skills whatsoever and ended up embarrassing myself in front of my peers. I never went back.

12. Does your life tend to get better or worse or does it just stay the same? 
It fluctuates. There are good days and there are bad days. That’s just life.

13. Does time really heal all wounds? 
Yes!

14. How do you handle a rainy day? 
Movies and my dog :)

15. Which is worse...losing your luggage or having to sort out tangled holiday lights? 
Losing luggage. I tend to form really strong bonds between me and my belongings. When I lose these things or when these things break, it is a catastrophic event.

16. How is your relationship with your parents? 
I love them.


Will you miss them when they are gone? 
Most definitely.

17. Do you tend to be aware of what is going on around you? 
Not all the time.

18. What is the truest thing that you know? 
Laughter cures everything.

19. What did you want to be when you grew up?
I wanted to be famous when I was a kid. Other than that, I’ve always just wanted to be a housewife. But there’s still time! I’m not grown up yet!

20. Have you ever been given a second chance? 
Everyone has been given a second chance at something.


21. Are you more of a giver or a taker? 
I would think that I’m a good balance of both.

22. Do you make your decisions with an open heart/mind? 
Not always.

23. What is the most physically painful thing that has ever happened to you? 
When I was 4, my dog got out of the house and in order to get him back inside, I grabbed him by the collar while he was running and he ended up dragging me all the way down the sidewalk. The skin on my kneecaps was entirely missing.

24. What is the most emotionally painful thing that has ever happened to you? 
I went through a really horrible break up with my first boyfriend. He got really bad into drugs afterward and treated me terribly any time I would run into him in public. And so many other things….

25. Who have you hugged today? 
My dog.

26. Who has done something today to show they care about you? 
My dog licked my face. Other than that, nothing.

27. Do you have a lot to learn? 
Certainly.

28. If you could learn how to do three things just by wishing and not by working what would they be? 
A. How to make my own clothes.
B. How to teach my dog to settle down.
C. How to make lots of money by doing nothing. :)

29. Which do you remember the longest: what other people say, what other people do or how other people make you feel? 
How other people make you feel.

30. What are the key ingredients to having a good relationship? 
Time apart. If you are constantly with another person and don’t have a life outside of that person, it is bound to fail. Guys need their guy nights and girls need their girl nights. You should not have to be around each other 24/7. Other things: Trust, ability to be yourself and be completely comfortable and natural with that person. 

31. What 3 things do you want to do before you die? 
A. Fall in love.
B. Get married.
C. Have kids.

32. What three things would you want to die to avoid doing? 
A. Going through a death of my child.
B. Get a divorce.
C. Cheating on someone.

33. Is there a cause you believe in more than any other cause? 
Not really.

The 1900s: Some of the best classic literature.
20's: Music, parties, prominence
30's: Nothing special
40's: Music.
50's: Poodle skirts and housewives

35. Which decade do you feel the most special connection to and why? 
Either 1920s or 1950s. I feel like the 20s were a great decade and I would love to have experience that, but I also really just want to get married, have kids, and be a housewife. I was born in the wrong decade. I should have lived in the 50s.

I love The Beatles. I Wanna Hold Your Hand. Come Together. Hey Jude.

37. What country do you live in and who is the leader of that country?
USA – Barrack Obama

If you could say any sentence to the current leader of your country what would it be? 
Read Atlas Shrugged.

38. What's your favorite TV channel to watch in the middle of the night? 
Comedy Central. South Park.

39. What Disney villain are you the most like and why? 
The Snow White villain…because I want to be the fairest in the land!! Just kidding.

No.

41. If you were traveling to another continent would you rather fly or take a boat? 
Fly.

42. Why is the sky blue during the day and black at night? 
Reflection of water and the sun. Everything is black when it’s dark.

From the ash tree or something stupid like that.

Probably the ocean, since we know that there is life there. And sharks are awesome.

I don’t know. Probably a paper airplane while I was babysitting.

Nothing. I love to do nothing. I would sacrifice anything to be able to do that. J

Oh goodness. There are musical heros. There are historical heros. There are war heros. There are super heros. There are so many heros.

Dancing.

91. In Star Trek people 'beam' back and forth between different places. What this means is they stand in a little tube and their molecules are deconstructed and sent to another tube somewhere else where they are reassembled. Only problem is when the molecules are deconstructed the person is dead. When they are put back together it is only a clone that has all the dead person's memories. So... 
Is the person who gets beamed the same person on both ends? 
I guess not?

None.

93. If you could print any phrase on a T-shirt, what would it say? 
Uhm.

94. What's the most eccentric thing you have ever worn? 
I’m not a very eccentric person. I guess I would have to say a headband. Haha.

95. If you could pick one food that you could eat all you wanted but it would have no effect on how much you weigh, what food would it be? 
I mean, that’s like already by everyday life. This question is not applicable to me.

Me and my sisters.

No. Gross.

I wish I could say wishes.

I have no idea what that means.

Matches or a lighter. My dog. A gun.
